Record: Ganesh Laddu Sold For Rs 1.26 Cr In Hyd

Hyderabad is celebrating Ganesh Nomarjan today with the Khairatabad Ganesh to be immersed in water later today. And in accordance, there is a popular tradition of auctioning the Ganesh Prasadam Laddu on the last day of the auction. Here is one such record-breaking auction that happened today.

The Ganesh Laddu at Richmond Villas, Suncity has set a new all-time record for Ganesh Laddu auctions in all of Hyderabad.

The laddu was bought for a whopping Rs 1,26 crores a short while ago. This is the highest ever price paid for a Laddu in Hyderabad till date. The 5-kg ladu has created a sensation of sorts.

Last year, the 5-KG laddu was sold for Rs 60.48 lakh and it has doubled in cost this year with the auction at Richmond Villas. The Villa management stated that the money got from this year’s auction will be used for charity.

As for the famous Balapur Laddu, it was sold for Rs 27 lakh. This is also a new high for the Balapur Laddu.
