Relief to Chandrababu in Supreme Court

The Supreme Court has dismissed the petition filed by earlier YSRCP government with regards to Skill Development case.

The past government had filed a petition to cancel the bail given to Chandrababu in High Court in skills case. A bench headed by Justice Bela Trivedi struck down YSRCP’s petition.

Babu’s lawyer Mukul Rohatgi argued that a chargesheet was already filed regarding the case. Justice Bela Trivedi said there was no need to tackle the subject as the High Court had already given bail to Babu.

The AP CM got respite on November 2023 when the High Court gave him bail. The then YSRCP government filed a petition in Supreme Court which was struck down today.

In the process, the Apex Court also rapped a journalist who filed an implead petition and asked how he was connected with the matter.

The Supreme Court sided with the High Court’s decision.

It is known that Babu was wrongly implicated in skills case by former YSRCP government. The case has been going on since then.

It has to be noted that the YSRCP could not show graft of even a single rupee. It was a pure case of political vendetta where Babu was sent to jail.

Observing the situation, AP High Court gave relief to Babu by granting bail. Now the Apex Court has struck down the petition by YSRCP.
