Reluctant villages to go in to Green belt?

The ongoing agitations by reluctant farmers in few villages of Amaravati seem to push the farmers in to more troubles. The state government may be mulling the option of bringing these villages in to Greenbelt. According to rules, out of the 54000 acres of Capital, there should be a green belt of 9400 acres. If the farmers are so reluctant, these villages after taking roads ways may be brought under green belt.

Once they are in green belt, these lands can not be used for commercial purpose and automatically the land rate will fall down drastically. Also experts say these lands will not be as fertile as earlier once the capital develops. Once a region is made to green belt, there are no instances in the history of India, that the decision is over turned.

Also the regions in green belt are known for their backwardness and low land rates. So this option is definitely not beneficial for the farmers but they are knowingly or unknowingly agitating for the same option.
