Remains of Stuck in Borewell Pulled Out

After the struggle for more than 55 hours, all that can be found is the few remains of Chinnari who got stuck in a borewell at a field in Ekkareddyguda. All the attempts by the police, the fire department, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel and a team of ONGC officials failed.

They have found that her remains were stuck at around 245 feet. To bring out her body, rescue teams had flushed the borewell, while doing so, parts of her body came out with the water. After the postmortem was conducted, the child’s remains were handed over to her family members.

The final rites will take place in her native Gorepally village. The girl slipped into an open borewell at a field at Ekkareddyguda while playing with her elder sister on Thursday at around 7.15 pm. The Cyberabad police on Saturday had registered a case against the land owner, Malla Reddy, under IPC section 336 (endangering life or personal safety of others).
