Reports On BRS President Change, Doesn’t Suit KCR

It is more or less certain that Former Minister K Taraka Ramarao will be arrested in the Formula-E case. Telangana ACB and ED have registered FIRs to that extent and the arrest may happen when the High Court refuses to Quash the FIR against him.

Meanwhile, there are fresh rumors that KCR may step down as the BRS President, taking responsibility for the recent electoral losses, and appoint a BC Leader in his place.

They say this is an attempt to woo the BC Communities towards the party.

But then, these reports do not appear convincing.

Changing the President when the Working President gets jailed may not happen. It will add to more confusion between the cadre and the leaders.

Also, KCR never let the President’s post go. He has been the party’s President ever since he founded TRS in April 2001.

He instituted the BRS Working President Post in December 2018 and it is with KTR since then.

Things like changing Presidents in the Opposition and especially in crisis is not a wise decision. KCR is not naive to commit such mistakes.

After KTR’s arrest, it will be interesting to see who BRS’s interim leader will be.

KCR is not someone to give chances to Harish Rao or his own daughter, Kavitha. KCR, anyway, is confined only to his Farmhouse in Erravelli after the 2023 Assembly Elections Defeat.
