Revanth Reddy allowed to vote!

Kodangal MLA Revanth Reddy who was arrested last night on the allegations of bribing nominated MLA was presented before Magistrate this morning. Along with him are Sabastian and Uday Simha who accompanied Revanth to the nominated MLA’s house.

Revanth was booked under Anti Corruption Act 1988 Section 12, IPC Section 120D, 34 (giving bribe and trying to influence by wrong ways). He was sent to 14 days remand. The bail petition is likely to come up for hearing this afternoon.

He requested the Magistrate to allow him to vote in the MLC elections today, for which he was granted the permission. Police will accompany him to the Assembly and later take him to the jail after voting. The polling for MLC elections began some time ago and will go on till 4PM in the evening.
