Revanth Reddy’s Brave Move to Revive TDP(TS)

TDP(TS) Working President, Revanth Reddy seems to be determined to revive the party in Telangana. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao may himself give a chance to Revanth Reddy in this regard. Speculations are rife that KCR is mulling by-elections to instill confidence in the cadre.

Rumours are that Nalgonda MP, Gutha Sukender Reddy who shifted his loyalty from Congress to TRS may resign making the by-election inevitable. In such case, Revanth Reddy is planning to field himself as TDP(TS) candidate and test his luck.

If Revanth Reddy wins, it will mark the revival of the party in Telangana. But then, it is not that easy since Nalgonda is a traditional stronghold of Congress. Congress bigwigs like Uttam Kumar Reddy, Jana Reddy, and Komatireddy brothers hail from the district.

KCR has this habit of going for by-elections to keep the fire burning in the cadre. We have seen that many times during the Telangana Agitation and sometimes, it backfired as well. TRS cadre will be hoping that this is not going to be that time now.
