Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is keen on taking a revenge on KCR and KTR for his arrest in the Cash for Vote scam.
It is finally happening after one year of power for Revanth Reddy. Arrest maybe imminent for KTR very soon in the Formula-E Funds Misappropriation case.
Right from the start, the Government has been very careful in dealing with the case.
For prosecuting an MLA, the consent of the Speaker should be enough but the Government took the permission from Raj Bhavan and waited for about two months for it.
Soon after the High Court dismissed KTR’s Quash petition, the Government filed a caveat in the Supreme Court even before KTR got judgement copy.
Caveat means the Court is urged not to give a direction in this case without hearing the Government.
Top lawyers like Mukul Rohatgi or Harish Salve may be engaged in defending the government in the Apex Court.
In such high-profile cases, the Supreme Court is unlikely to quash. At best, relief from arrest may be granted until a direction is given on the quash.
Meanwhile, Telangana ACB received another complaint on KTR. BC Political Union President Yugandhar Gowdar has complained about irregularities in the ORR tenders. He has demanded an investigation into the matter and action be taken.
It looks like Revanth Reddy Government is planning to suffocate KTR with back-to-back legal cases.
