Revanth Reddy Corners Nagarjuna in Assembly

The Winter Session of Telangana Assembly began this morning and Revanth Reddy, the working President of TDP (TS) raised the issue of Nagarjuna’s N-Convention encroaching government lands and asked the government when it is planning to take action on that.

On the behalf of Municipal Minister, KTR, other Minister Harish Rao responded on it. “N Convention center comes in GHMC limits. We will bring up the issue with Municipal Minister and GHMC and will take appropriate action”, Harish Rao said.

During the early days of TRS government, GHMC served notices to the convention center alleging that 3.12 acres of Thammidikunta river have encroached for the 6.69 acres convention which is owned by actor Nagarjuna. The municipal corporation officials have also said that the construction did not have permissions from GHMC and also Nagarjuna is not paying any tax for GHMC for the past 5 years. Later the issue was brushed under the carpet for reasons best known to the government.
