Revanth: Disciple Of Godse, Not Gandhi

BRS working president KT Rama Rao criticized Telangana Congress Chief Revanth Reddy’s idea of building the world’s largest Gandhi statue in Hyderabad.

KTR said that Gandhi’s great-grandson Tushar Gandhi himself objected to this decision. He then called Revanth Reddy a disciple of Godse, not Gandhi.

Speaking at a party meeting today, KTR said, “When people questioned the need of huge money for Musi Rejuvenation and Beautification which requires only Rs.1100 crores, Revanth is saying that he will construct the world’s largest Gandhi statue at Bapu Ghat, situated on the banks of the Musi River.”

“When Revanth shared this idea, Gandhi’s great-grandson Tushar Gandhi responded and said that Gandhi didn’t like such things and never wished to have his statues. He further asked Revanth to use that money for the welfare of poor people,” added KTR.

KTR then stated that Gandhi would be distraught by Revanth’s statements because Revanth is a disciple of RSS member Godse. “Do we agree if Godse’s disciple says he will construct Gandhi’s statue?” questioned KTR. He said that it is not right to construct a Gandhi statue in the name of Musi beautification, solely to increase real-estate rates and loot money from people.
