After assuming power in Telangana, the Congress government took some key decisions and one among them was giving “Jaya Jayahe Telangana” the status of state song.
Jaya Jayahe Telangana was written by popular poet Ande Sri. The previous BRS government didn’t give it the official state song status. Revanth, after assuming the post of Chief Minister, decided to give the song the official status.
Now, Oscar-winning Telugu composer MM Keeravani has been given the task of composing the song along with Ande Sri. Today, Keeravani and Ande Sri formally met Revanth Reddy and discussed the composition of the song.
Keeravani and Ande Sri were also felicitated by Revanth. CM’s advisor Vem Narender Reddy and Congress leader Addanki Dayakar were present at the meeting.
The Keeravani’s version of Jaya Jayahe Telangana is expected to be released during the Telangana Formation Day celebrations.
Reportedly, the Congress party has been making big plans for the formation day celebrations on June 2. It is heard that the cabinet ministry has also decided to invite Sonia Gandhi to these celebrations.
