Revanth Reddy Over-Confident Or Going To Surprise?

The Revanth Reddy Government had decided to conduct the Local Elections. The Schedule is likely to be out this month-end.

The Cabinet will discuss the schedule on Monday, and then, the clarity will emerge on the dates.

MPTC and ZPTC Elections will happen first and will be followed by Sarpanch and Municipal Elections covering all the Rural and Urban Areas of the State.

This will be the first serious election Revanth Reddy is going to face.

For some reason, there is a feeling that Revanth Reddy is riding on a huge anti-incumbency wave.

Many actually think Congress will be reduced to third position if the elections are held today.

There is a feeling that that Rural people are unhappy due to the scheme and the Urban Junta are not happy as well because of not much development.

The Real-Estate has also crashed due to controversial decisions like HYDRA.

At this juncture, going for local elections is extremely risky and surprising.

If Revanth Reddy gets a negative result here, the countdown will begin for the Government’s downfall.

Revanth Reddy is already struggling to have a grip on the party because of too much internal democracy in Congress.

Once he appears weak, we will see leaders pounce on him and create headaches.

In such a scenario, the Congress High Command will also lose trust in Revanth. This condition may even endanger his CM Seat.

If the results are positive, BRS will have a field run in the coming days.

So, Revanth Reddy’s decision is extremely risky.

Governments that have a hint of anti-incumbency will avoid Local Elections.

There are instances where Governments ignored local polls completely, and some governments have conducted them only when pressured by Courts.

He is either being over-confident or will surprise everyone.
