Revanth Promises 60 MLA Seats for Women

Telangana CM Revanth Reddy was part of the vana mahotsav in Rajendranagar’s Prof Jayashankar University. During his speech, he spoke about women planting at least two plants in their house. He said women would look after their plants like their children.

The CM then spoke about the initiatives taken by the government to make women crorepatis. As a part of it, we have arranged for women to run Indira Shakti canteens in big corporates.

We got women groups to buy buses and then took them on lease by TSRTC. We have also decided to include 1 crore women in self help groups (SGH). In the past, the solar power projects were started by Ambani and Adani. Soon, we will ensure that women start solar power projects, said the Telangana CM.

Revanth Reddy pointed out the past BRS government did not treat the women well. They never made even one woman minister in the Cabinet in 10 years of their rule, said the CM.

He said the Congress government gave Rs 21,000 crore for women’s groups in form of bank linkages for financial empowerment of women.

The CM took the opportunity to laud the various schemes of Indira Gandhi like Indiramma Indlu, ration cards, assigned lands, etc. Revanth Reddy also said that credit goes to Rajiv Gandhi for providing reservations to women in local bodies.

Gadwal Vijayalakshmi and Srilatha became Mayor and Deputy Mayor due to it, shared Revanth Reddy.

Soon, women reservations will be implemented in the Assembly, he said. The seats will soon increase to 153 seats. Of this 33% means 51 seats. To this, Revanth said he will add another 9 seats and provide 60 MLA seats. The onus is mine, promised Revanth Reddy.
