Revanth Reddy to remain in jail

TDP MLA Revanth Reddy who finally managed to get the bail from high court in Cash for vote scam, will have to remain in jail for one more day. Even though the high court granted him bail, the court officials did not finish the formalities and bail order in time.

Due to the delay, Revanth Reddy’s lawyers could not submit the order to ACB Court before the court timings. As a result his release is postponed to tomorrow. According to the rules, Revanth Reddy’s lawyers have to submit the bail order, Personal Surety and Passport to ACB court and get the release order.

That release order will have to be produced to Cherlapally Jail authorities and get Revanth Reddy released. All these formalities are not completed by 5.30 PM which are the court timings and so Revanth Reddy and other accused have to spend one more night behind the bars.

Update:

Despite getting the bail order from high court, the Personal Surety process is not completed in ACB court as there is some mistake regarding to whom the surety is to be submitted. The issue had to be rectified tomorrow in the high court and a fresh bail order copy had to obtained. Revanth Reddy had to stay in jail till tomorrow.
