The budget sessions in the Telangana assembly started yesterday and the verbal war between Congress and BRS leaders peaked within no time.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy stated that BRS MLA KT Rama Rao is trying to deviate from the assembly proceedings with his lack of knowledge.
He questioned why BRS chief KCR didn’t attend the key budget session of the assembly. In response, KTR told Congress leaders that he and other BRS leaders are enough to challenge Congress and that KCR’s presence is not required.
Revanth Reddy said that KTR is a management quota MLA who came into politics using his father’s name. “I became Chief Minister by working from the ground level. I thought KTR came from the management quota. But it is even worse,” stated Revanth.
Reacting to Revanth’s statement, KTR said, “We can also say that Revanth is a payment quota CM. Can a Chief Minister say that I became a minister in management quota? Is this the way a legislative party’s floor leader talks?”
Revanth Reddy alleged that the BRS government took debts over Rs. 7 lakh crores and made the state go bankrupt. He said that the electricity department was completely ruined by BRS’s rule. He asserted that people gave their mandate after being fed up with BRS and KCR.
On the other side, KTR demanded Congress leaders to fight against the BJP. “We don’t get anything by begging. We have to take everything by demanding,” said KTR.
“Not KCR, if you have guts, fight against BJP and Modi and question their negligence towards Telangana,” KTR stated in response to the state not getting any funds from the central government in the Union budget 2024.
