Revanth Reddy made six major promises for coming to power in Telangana. The success or failure of Revanth Reddy will depend on the implementation of these promises and he set himself a target of 100 days to achieve them.
These welfare schemes are definitely not easy to implement due to the huge financial burden they bring.
At this time, Revanth Reddy is trying to impose a rider that they are applicable only for White Ration Card Holders.
White Ration Card Holders are the poor and so, the welfare schemes are going to the deserving strata of Telangana.
Ideally, that is how it should be but then, that is definitely not what he promised.
So, there will be friction and disappointment from the people.
But then, is there no positive angle in this?
According to the political analysts, people were disappointed about the then KCR Government not keeping riders for the Rythu Bandhu scheme. There were reports that people were upset about giving Rythu Bandhu to farmers with five acres or even to those with 100 acres.
So, Revanth Reddy will assume that people will understand his rider of schemes only for White Ration Card Holders.
But then, the White Ration Card will also exempt the middle class. Also, the settlers of other states will be exempted as well.
However, due to the financial burden, there is no way these schemes can be extended to everyone in the state.
The Parliament elections are around the corner and so, Revanth Reddy will get the impact of this rider almost immediately.
