Revanth Reddy’s Bail Petition put off!

TDP MLA Revanth Reddy who was arrested in the case of trying to bribe nominated MLA to vote for TDP-BJP candidate in MLC elections, had to remain in jail for at least tomorrow. Revanth Reddy’s lawyers have filed bail petition this morning and argued that this is a clear case of political vendetta.

ACB however informed the court that it is not ready to file the counter affidavit on the bail petition and so the case if put off till Tuesday. After the hearing, Revanth Reddy was taken to Chanchalguda jail.

Police had beefed up the security cover around the jail. Earlier Revanth was allowed to vote in the MLC elections that are underway in Telangana Assembly. Revanth was initially awarded 14 days of remand.
