Revanth Reddy’s Case will not stand in courts?

Kodangal MLA Revanth Reddy is caught red-handed in a sting operation while trying to bribe nominated MLA for MLC elections. ACB with the help of the nominated MLA executed a perfect trap for Revanth in to which he walked in. However experts say the case may not stand in courts according to a Supreme Court’s directive.

Earlier this year, Supreme Court in a case said that Sting Operations are not legally valid in the country. The court opined that for pinning down a person, when the sting operation conducting party is resorting to another crime which is not acceptable.

The court also said in sting operations that target is made to believe that he is not being seen by any one and may be baited something to perform a wrong or crime. In such case, the targeted person can not be found fault totally. The court clearly said that our country can not make sting operations legal as in US. This can be a huge lifeline to Revanth Reddy in this case.
