Revolutionary: AP Makes Biometric Attendance Mandatory

Andhra Pradesh government has made the installation of biometric attendance systems and e-office facility mandatory in all government departments including district-level offices. The G.O. pertaining to that is also out and steps are being taken to implement it.

A three-member nodal authority will be appointed to monitor and ensure the implementation of the e-office and biometric attendance systems. he bio-metric attendance would be implemented even in the teleconferences, video conferences, state-level review meetings and district-level meetings.

The government wants to inculcate discipline in the government employees and bring in accountability. The nodal authority will also ensure that the employees use e-office which will deploy the technology, computers and other programmes for file and note preparation and submission.
