Right Opposition Found for BJP?

BJP for the first time in the last few decades had emerged as the only party which is able to form the government at the center on its own. With Opposition in Shambles, it is almost a writing on the wall that BJP will be forming a government for the second time in 2019.

But then, BJP is getting a formidable opposition but not from any other party. The GST which will be in effect from July 1st is a big challenge for the Central Government. There will be utter chaos in the people and business over this new tax regime.

If the government fails to handle the after effects just like Demonetization, GST may well dent the prospects of BJP in the next elections. Opposition Parties are very well aware of that and are waiting for that moment to grab the opportunity with both the hands.

Also, the benefits of having a Uniform Tax Structure will emerge only two years after the Tax comes into effect. But GST is timed in such a way there are less than two years before going to the elections. So, BJP will have lots of work in hands in the next two years.
