Roja hopes political mileage from suspension?

YSR Congress MLA, Roja who is suspended from Andhra Pradesh Assembly for a period of one year seem to be very keen on a comeback. Roja fought in the Hyderabad High Court to get her suspension revoked but she could not get any respite. The court proceedings are slow and even the stay Roja sought on the punishment is also not given.

Impatient Roja filed a fresh petition in Supreme Court the other day over this. She is keen to get a stay on her punishment and wants to get back in to the Assembly in this session itself. If it happens, Roja feels she will have the moral victory over the government and also that will increase her image in the people.

The case is likely to come to hearing next week. However the question is that can the courts really interfere on the Speaker’s decision. On the other side, Leader of Opposition, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy raised the issue in Assembly the other day in Woman’s day debate. He called Roja’s suspension, totally out of political vendetta.
