Romoes nabbed for late night roaming in Hyd

Hyderabad Police nabbed 106 youngsters loitering and driving rashly on the roads of Old City in the wee hours of Saturday. The operation named ‘Operation Late Night Roam-Yos’ was taken up by the Special teams of South Zone Police at late nights to nab youngsters mostly sitting on chabutras, loitering on the streets and driving in a rash manner.

No cases were registered on the youngster but they were let off after a counseling session in the presence of their parents. They were also warned of dire consequences if they are found once again roaming on streets late in the night.

Police recently have become serious in this late night drives after the death of a young lad, Nabeel Mohammed who breathed his last during a friendly street-fight a few days ago. This drive however invoked mixed reactions from the society. Some supported the moves as it inculcate discipline in youth while others criticised police for creating fear in the minds of youth.
