RTC mints huge profits on Sankranthi!

APSRTC minted huge profits like never before for Sankranthi. The most profitable day in the history of RTC till date is January 19th. It is on that day, RTC has got income of 18.60 Crore from the 13 districts of the state. The occupancy ration on all the regions and bus depots crossed more than 100%.

This heavy rush is due to the return journey to work mostly Hyderabad after Spending Sankranthi holidays. RTC said to have earned more than 2.5 Crore profit on that day. Earlier the highest income in a day is 17.36 Crore on January 20th, 2014, again for Sankranthi last year.

Anantapur Region topped in Occupancy with 107.93%. West Godavari (105.82%), Kadapa (102.30%) and Nellore (101.86%) are in the next positions. The price correction in Diesel prices also helped RTC to maximize the profits.
