Rajamouli Out of Amaravati Committee

Andhra Pradesh government had earlier approached Baahubali director SS Rajamouli to give his inputs about Amaravati Capital City Master Plan. But then, this has attracted so much of criticism from the opposition that the government is trying to execute the Master Plan with Film Settings.

Maybe due to this criticism or any other reason, the government had left him out of the committee formed to design the capital city Amaravati plan to focus and highlight heritage and culture of pre-Buddhist, Buddhist and post-Buddhist, pre-Satavahana, Satavahana and post-Satavahana periods.

The committee will be headed by Parakala Prabhakar. The other members will include eminent personalities from the disciplines of history, archaeology, heritage and culture. London-based Foster+ Partners will submit the concept designs of Amaravati to the state government within a couple of days.
