Salary Cut Imminent for Telangana Employees?

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao seems to be a worried man with the after effects of the Notes Ban. Telangana is drawing 3500 Crore income every month but then the Finance department is expecting less than half of the income this month which will push the state into the red Zone.

On the other side, the Chief Minister has called for an emergency meeting with the Finance department about what should be done on this. There is an opinion that the state government should force a cut in the salaries bill for the next month. The CM told the officials to ensure the employees are mentally ready for that.

Even if the full salary is credit, the employees will have a tough time to withdraw them given the restrictions imposed by RBI. Similar or worse situation exists in all the other states in the country including Andhra Pradesh. Also, it is expected that the situation will continue for a couple of months from now.
