Sasikala Cries at Jayaa’s Grave, but Lobbying Hard

CM Jayalalitha’s death is hitting hard to the people of Tamil Nadu especially her close aides and friends. One of these people is Amma’s close aide Sasikalaa Natarajan who was seen visiting the late CM’s grave for the first time since the funeral on Tuesday.

Sasikalaa was accompanied by her sister in law Ilavarasi as well as Ilavarasi’s daughters Sagi and Priya. Interestingly, present Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, O Panneerselvam was also there with four of his ministers to pay his tributes to the dearly departed. Sasikalaa went in alone and broke into tears at Amma’s grave and was consoled by her sister in law.

Even as Jayalalitha’s aides and party members are in grief over her death, there is also a struggle going on to see who will be elected as the new general secretary of AIDMK. Although Sasikalaa has never held any official position in the party or the government till now, she is lobbying hard at present and her residence at Poes Garden is often filled with AIDMK members to hold party discussions.
