Seed Capital in 2000 acres!

The Master Plan of Andhra Pradesh Capital being readied by the Singapore Team specifying that the Seed Capital in Amaravathi will require 2000 acres. The Seed Capital will have CM office, Raj Bhavan, HOD offices and their residences, Parks and Hospitals. The government is keeping it a secret where this Seed capital will actually come up.

The government has primarily decided to allot developed plot to the farmers in the same village where their lands are present. The government is planning to conduct a lottery in media regarding the plots allotment. Singapore team is expected to submit the Master Plan by the end of May or June. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to come down for the ground breaking ceremony of the Capital.

Government is pooling 30000 acres for the state capital keeping in the mind the requirements that will crop up in the next 100 years. The Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act guarantees the Center to bear the full expense of the state capital. But given the hostility of the Center, the state government will have to depend on Overseas funding and Public Private Partnership Models.
