Shocking: CM Blames Victims In Minor Girls Rape Case!

Sometimes those in power lose their sensitivity and make irresponsible comments. It has happened with Goa Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant who is under pressure from the opposition and the media for the gang rape of two minor girls on Benaulim beach in the early hours of Sunday.

“Parents need to introspect why 14-year-olds have to stay on the beach the whole night. You can not always make the government and police responsible,” the Chief Minister shockingly said. He added that parents have a responsibility to ensure the safety of their children.

It is highly deplorable that the Chief Minister blames the victims and parents in a gruesome rape case. Just that someone is partying at the night or wearing so and so clothes does not justify rape. Place and appearance should never be a reason for rape. Furthermore, the CM made this shocking statement in the state assembly.
