Shocking statement: Allow Rape to Escape Death

If the Nirbhaya Gang Rape in Delhi of 2012 is of a National shame incident, the recent interview of one of the accused persons is even inhumane and uncivilized. Mukesh Singh, who is currently re-appealing his death sentence is of the opinion that girls roaming at nights should be made responsible for rapes. He even went on to say that they would not gave beaten the girl if she did not resist the rape.

“When being raped, she shouldn’t fight back. She should just be silent and allow the rape. Then they’d have dropped her off after doing her”, the accused say calling the whole incident as an accident.

Mukesh even opined that death sentence will make things more dangerous for girls as most rapists leave their victims as they believe she will not tell any one. “If there is a chance of death sentence, rapists will kill the girl to prevent her from complaining”, he added in the interview. Shocking thing is that the lawyer AK Singh who is taking up the case voiced similar opinion that girls are more responsible for rapes.
