Siddham Vs TDP Meetings: What Are Most Effective?

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy addressed three Siddham meetings so far and the fourth one will take place very soon in the Palnadu area. Meanwhile, Lokesh is addressing 2-3 meetings a day under the name of Shankaravam. He is currently touring Uttarandhra.

Chandrababu Naidu is busy finalizing the seat-sharing issues and is also attending some public meetings whenever he finds time.

Now, the real question is whose meetings are most effective.

Siddham meetings are large. The meetings are held in big grounds. Whenever a meeting is held, party machinery brings people from surrounding 5-6 districts. Since YSR Congress is the ruling party, all the RTC buses and school buses are being used to ply the people.

The party incharges in these districts are spending a bomb on food, liquor, and money to bring people to these meetings. Moreover, the volunteers are forcibly bringing DWACRA women and school students to the meetings to make the crowd gathering easy.

As a result, the Bus commuters and parents of the schools and college kids are greatly inconvenienced.

To understand the extent of efforts they put, even Buses from Ongole are diverted to Raptadu the other. The party leaders even brought people from Bengaluru to Raptadu arranging special vehicles.

In contrast, TDP is keeping its meetings simple. They are taking one constituency at a time. The speeches of Lokesh and Chandrababu are neatly packaged. First, they speak about Jagan’s misrule, next they talk about local issues, then they give special instructions to cadres on reaching the voters, and finally, ask people to vote for TDP and Janasena.

TDP meetings are not burdening for the local incharges and at the same time, the speeches directly addressing the local issues are more appealing to the people.

On the other hand, we see Jagan’s speeches in filmy style filled with punch dialogues and not addressing local issues. There is a pattern and predictability in all the speeches since he does not go beyond Button Nokkudu and bash the Opposition.

TDP meetings are most effective in their way as the local issues are addressed.

But then, the sheer size of Siddham meetings has another advantage. The Ruling Party is trying to impress the people with the huge crowds. The visuals are being circulated in the media and social media to create a perception that Jagan has huge support.

The opposition can not conduct such big meetings because the government will not give permission and there is no chance of using government machinery, buses, and even funds at will like the Ruling Party. Also, it is not wise to burden the incharges with such huge expenses when their actual focus should be on their constituencies.

Once the candidates are locked, TDP and Janasena will organize 2-3 such huge meetings to negate the impact.

Pawan Kalyan hitting the streets will also help the opposition but for some reason, he has been confined indoors for more than a month now.
