Singapore’s role in Amaravati to be finalized?

The consortium of Singapore companies, Sembcorp and Ascendas will be putting forth their final proposal to be the Master Developer of Amaravati on 28th of this month. Once the proposal is made open, other developers will be given a chance under Swiss Challenge Method.

It is reliably learnt that Singapore companies are not interested in undertaking the construction of government buildings in Amaravati. The final draft of Amaravati Master Plan is likely to be out on 15th of this month.

Singapore companies have earlier put up a proposal for Amaravati construction which literally shocked the state government as the terms of the proposal are not at all in favour of the state. Probably the next proposal put forth will be their final proposal. If that is still disappointing, Andhra Pradesh government have to look beyond. Naidu is keen on working with Singapore knowing their discipline and aversion to corruption.
