The SIT officials have taken accused in AP liquor scam, Sajjala Sridhar Reddy, into custody. Sajjala was taken from Vijayawada district jail to SIT office.
Starting today, they will interrogate him for three days. Sajjala Sridhar Reddy is a prime accused along with Raj Kasireddy. SIT has found that Sridhar Reddy participated in all meetings along with Raj Kasireddy.
Sridhar Reddy will be interrogated till evening. SIT prepared a special questionnaire for Sajjala. SIT officials have already interrogated Raj Kasireddy and Chanakya in the matter.
On the other hand, Dhanunjaya Reddy and Krishnamohan Reddy attended SIT questioning for the second day. SIT officials are trying to figure out who is the final beneficiary in the scam and how the money was channelised. They are also trying to figure out which businesses the money was invested in.
The Rs 3200 crore liquor scam in Andhra Pradesh during Jagan’s term not only led to embezzlement of money, but is said to have created health issues among consumers. Also, the huge money got in kickbacks was invested in various businesses like hospitals, films, realty, etc.
As per latest news, SIT is likely to interrogate four people related to the scam, soon.
