Sivaji and Raghavendra Rao in TTD race!

Over 1200 applications are piled up for the coveted Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Board members and the state government has churned out the list and cut it down to 30 members. The list include several high profile names like Nita Ambani too. Film personalities actor Sivaji who campaigned for BJP in the last elections and veteran director Raghavendra Rao who was with TDP since its inception are in the list.

There is immense pressure on the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for the Board members position. Even Top BJP leaders, including Amit Shah and Union minister Sadanand Gowda, have recommended names for the Board. Currently TTD board has 15 members including the Chairman. Due to the formation of a new Telugu state, Mr.Naidu is planning to increase it to 18.

Also in order to satisfy as many as leaders possible Naidu has reduced the tenure of the board from the current two years to one year. It is said that Naidu has almost completed the exercise and will be announcing the new board very soon.
