Smart Power Grid in AP’s Capital!

Power transmission lines and polls can not be seen in the upcoming capital of Andhra Pradesh. The entire supply and distribution network will be totally in undergrounds. This grid will be designed keeping future power demand in mind.

In this network, there will be smart meters which will send information about Power usage to consumer as well as the power agencies there by will prevent power theft. consumers will constantly know their usage and costs incurred and there by will have a chance to minimize their bills by controlling the usage.

The smart grid will also regulate load automatically in case of peak hours. Central government is giving special incentives for this smart grid. Currently it is operational in 14 pilot projects across the country. Jeedimetla in Hyderabad is also one of those 14 projects.
