Smoking Problems in Velagapudi Assembly

The legislators in Andhra Pradesh Assembly are facing a strange problem. There is no Smoking Zone in Andhra Pradesh Assembly or Secretariat. Many of the legislators have the habit of smoking and have to go out of the secretariat to have a puff.

Assembly lobbies in Hyderabad have separate Smoking Zones but it is not the case of Velagapudi Assembly. Some MLAs and MLCs have brought this to the notice of Assembly Secretary. The issue reached the Chief Minister as well.

But then officials say there is no chance of having Smoking Zone in the Interim Assembly buildings. But the facility may be put up in the permanent buildings which will come up before 2019 elections. So, Smoking Netas have to suffer temporary troubles for now.
