Speaker surprises Opposition in Telangana Assembly

Telangana Assembly session started a short while ago. TDP had given a adjournment motion on Errabelli Dayakara Rao’s arrest while Congress said the government’s answer over farmers suicides is not complete. Speaker said that the house already discussed for two days on farmers suicides and they have to move on to further issues.

He called for the question hour but opposition parties continued their protests. All of sudden, the Speaker, Madhusudhanachary adjourned the house for Monday and went away. Usually the Speaker adjourns the house for 10-15 minutes in such occasions.

Only after a series of such adjournments, Speakers adjourn for the day. But Speakers adjournment to Monday on the first instance came as a surprise to the opposition. The opposition parties allege that the government has no courage to face the opposition in the house and so is killing time like this.
