Special Package Comes to the Rescue of AP

Central Government has decided to exempt Externally Aided Projects of Andhra Pradesh from the state’s FRBM limit. Usually the state governments give a guarantee to such loans but in this case, the center will give a counter guarantee and prevent the burden on the state.

This will ensure easy loan processing for major projects like Amaravati and Metro Rail Projects. Center’s Guarantee will also ensure that the approvals will be given easily. Center has agreed to compensate the loss of Special Status with an equivalent amount of EAPs.

This is the biggest benefit of the Special Status. World Bank will be funding 4749 Crore for Amaravati which will be the biggest boost for the Capital Construction. This is also an Externally Aided Project and will be given counter guarantee by the Center.
