Mixed Response for Bandh in Andhra Pradesh!

The Bandh call given by CPI in Andhra Pradesh and supported by all the opposition parties, had invoked mixed response from the people. The Bandh started off well with opposition leaders and cadre hitting the roads early in the morning and stopping all the buses and shut down the shops. However by 10.30 and 11 AM in the morning normalcy restored in almost all the places.

Shops are opened. Buses also started to ply in the cities like Vijayawada and Vishakapatnam. Most of the film theaters have cancelled their noon shows and the screenings are likely to resume from matinees. Only schools and colleges are closed down totally.

It is of the opinion that people are serious about the cause of Special Status but are not keen on the commitment of the opposition parties which invoked partial response. Also the parties called for the bandh have just confined to some hungama in the morning and retired to their homes at around 10AM. On the other side, YSR Congress had called for the bandh on 28th of this month.
