Special Status Heat for Chiranjeevi in the USA

Megastar Chiranjeevi is in the United States as the Chief Guest for MAA Silver Jubilee Celebrations. The former Rajya Sabha MP was greeted by some protestors who were carrying placards questioning what he did for the Special Status of Andhra Pradesh.

They also questioned his absence from Parliament while the crucial no-confidence motions were tabled and the state MPs were trying to force the ruling party to take them up for discussion and prove their strength in the house.

Chiranjeevi distanced himself from politics post the elections in 2014. He became busy with films and also rarely participated in any political event. His Rajya Sabha term is expired recently and the Congress did not renew it. It has to be seen if he will play any part in 2019 elections.
