ST Reshuffle: Massive Gains for TDP in Anantapur and Kurnool

Along with Kapu Reservations, Andhra Pradesh Cabinet also ratified the inclusion of Boya and Valmiki communities into Scheduled Tribes Category. The Population of STs has decreased after the bifurcation and so the existing percentage will accommodate the newly added communities as well.

This will not need center’s interference and so will become effective immediately. This will be a big help to the party in Anantapur and Kurnool where both the communities are in significant numbers. If it works the right way, TDP can sweep Anantapur and win maximum seats in Kurnool.

There are at least 15 constituencies in both the districts where the voters of both the communities are decisive. This is one of the promises made during Chandrababu Naidu’s Padayatra. Looks like Naidu is in a mad rush and we have Unemployment Allowance coming very soon.
