SC’s In-house Inquiry Makes Very Serious Comments on Jagan’s Allegations

It is known to our readers that an in-house inquiry of the Supreme Court had dismissed the allegations made by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy against Justice NV Ramana. The cleanchit has cleared route for Ramana to become the next Chief Justice of India.

The Times of India has published a story about what has happened in the in-house inquiry after it accessed some documents pertaining to the inquiry. The in-house inquiry termed the allegations “baseless, frivolous, false, motivated and an attempt to browbeat the judiciary”.

The inquiry said that Ramana’s daughters bought the lands in Amaravati just like many others in 2015 more than a year after then Union minister Panabaka Lakshmi in 2014 announced Amaravati as the new capital of Andhra Pradesh after its bifurcation. All the payments were made in cheque and were declared in the IT returns.

The inquiry opined that the fact that Justice Ramana is pushing for the early disposal of the cases against tainted Public Representatives may be the reason for these politically motivated allegations.
