Supreme Court Refuses Stay On Kavitha’s ED Summons

The Enforcement Directorate has started to crack down on the Delhi Liquor Scam case. As a part of the same, KCR’s daughter Kavitha recently had to attend the ED investigation in Delhi.

The ED had asked Kavitha to appear for the investigation again on the 16th of this month.

Incidentally, Kavitha applied for a stay on the ED investigation at the Supreme Court, saying her name isn’t even in the FIR that was filed and ED is intentionally targeting her.

Kavitha added that lawfully, the ED should investigate women at their residences but that isn’t happening with her as she is being called to the ED office for investigation.

Kavitha adds that her mobile was also seized by the ED and she wasn’t even given a proper reasoning for the same.

However, Kavitha’s plea was rejected by the Supreme Court and it refused to order a stay on the ED investigation. The next hearing is postponed to 24th of this month.

Now that the court refused to issue stay on the investigation, Kavitha will have to appear before the ED on the 16th of this month.
