After writing the letter, the Chief Minister’s Adviser, Ajeya Kallam called for a Press meet and revealed the contents of the letter to the media. A lawyer approached the Supreme Court saying that revealing the letter amounts to contempt of the court.

The Apex court will listen to the petition on the 16th of this month. The petitioner said the letter damages the credibility of the judiciary and action should be taken on the Chief Minister. The complainant already sought permission from the Attorney General to move Contempt of the court on the Chief Minister.

The Attorney General opined that it will amount to contempt of the court but refused to give any permission since the issue is already in the purview of the Chief Justice of India.
