Survey: TDP-BJP combine still holds grip on GHMC

According to a survey by a National Newspaper, the upcoming GHMC elections are tilted more towards TDP and BJP combine. The survey conducted after the draft of the delimitation was completed revealed that TDP-BJP combine is likely to get around 90 to 100 wards while TRS and its possible ally MIM are projected to get around 70 to 80 between them.

The survey predicted Congress coming third with about 20 to 30 wards and a few possible victories by independents. The survey findings suggest that despite attracting few MLAs of TDP from GHMC region, the ruling party did not gain sufficiently to win the coveted election.

This survey will give us a chance to assume why the ruling party is finding various ways to delay the GHMC elections. According to the high court’s directive, the elections should be completed and panel should be in place before December this year.
