Survey Unearths Pitiable Living Conditions in Old City

Many families in the Old City of Hyderabad survive on a measly income 60 Rupees a day and in several families, the bread earners are women. Besides this, there is a heavy burden of debts incurred on medical bills due to health issues.

Survey Unearths Pitiable Living Conditions in Hyderabad Old City, Helping Hand Foundation. This meager daily income, it has affected the education of children in many families in Old City.

The survey took place between 2nd and 20th of this month, covering 5,485 families spread over 88 localities in Old City. It focussed on the health and socio-economic problems of the principal minority community living in the Old City and other urban slums of Hyderabad.
