BRS is busy with preparatory meetings for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Working President K Taraka Ramarao is presiding over these meetings that are assessing the strength of the party in all the constituencies after losing power in recent elections.
It is said that the party had decided to field a new candidate for Nizamabad Parliament Segment. Kavitha won here in 2014 and lost in 2019. She was later sent to the council.
She still has four years of tenure left. Also, the Surveys are not painting a favorable picture for BRS in Nizamabad. So, BRS will field a new candidate here.
KCR recently lost his first Election from Kamareddy. BRS feels it can not afford one more KCR family losing while in the Opposition.
