Surveys: Telangana Heading in a Familiar Path!

Elections in Telangana are just four months away. Until a couple of months ago, it looked almost certain that BJP will end up in the second position. For many, even the first position did not look impossible.

But then, everything came crashing down in the last two months. BJP shot itself in its foot with back to back blunders. Congress winning Karnataka and the leadership change for BJP gave the paradigm shift towards Congress.

But a recent survey shows things actually worked in favour of BRS in this period.

According to the survey, BJP is in third position with just 13-14% Vote Share. With an uninspiring leadership of Kishan Reddy and a demoralised cadre, a redemption is almost impossible from here.

At the same time, Congress is also not comfortably placed. BRS is ahead of Congress at least by 9-10%. It is too big a gap to bridge and we have seen a self-goal on free power by Revanth Reddy.

The next 2-3 months are crucial for Congress to bridge the gap. Or else, it will have to be satisfied with a distant second like in the case of 2014 and 2019.

As of now, KCR should be comfortable for a third term unless Revanth Reddy pulls off a blinder from somewhere.
