Swedish Brand Teams Up with Telangana Government To Combat COVID-19

It is known to our readers that Telangana Government had converted Gachibowli Indoor Stadium into a Coronavirus Hospital cum Quarantine Center. It will be inaugurated on the 20th of this month. Global furniture brand, IKEA helped convert a sports hostel to a COVID-19 quarantine center with 200 fully-sanitized beds.

The Swedish Furniture Brand is also involved in preparing nutritious meals for the patients in the quarantine center. IKEA got its first store in India in Hyderabad which was inaugurated a couple of years ago. The store was closed from 20th March until further notice.

Across the globe, IKEA contributed €26m worth of furniture, food and aid to help those in need in 30 countries across the globe. On the other side, Telangana has breached the 700 marks in Coronavirus cases. Hyderabad and the GHMC area almost had half of the total cases in the state.

The best part is that more than one-third of them have recovered and discharged.
