T in gains, AP in losses :RTC

Even though the assets and liabilities of RTC are yet to be divided between both the Telugu States, accounts are being separately maintained in both the states after the appointed day. RTC is profitable in Telangana due to the city buses in the capital while in AP, RTC continues to be in losses.

However the correction in fuel prices in recent times came as a respite to RTC in Andhra Pradesh. Diesel prices have decreased 8 times in last 6 months keeping the losses in minimum. If the prices decreases once again, the losses will be totally nullified according to the officials.

The Vijayawada RTC Zone which caters the needs of Godavari districts, Krishna and Guntur will also enter profit zone from next price revision. On the other side, the corporation is trying several things to increase the occupancy rate in its buses by adopting advanced planning.
