Tallest Tower in Hyderbad worries!

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao’s plans to build World’s Tallest tower in Sanjeeviah Park near Hussainsagar may excite many but the proposal worried the environmentalists in the city. They fear the commercialization of lands around the Hussainsagar Lake will increase the population and pollution density around the area thereby decrease the much needed lung space in the city.

While the Chief Minister proposed the building construction of a huge tower while keeping the garden as it is, concerns remain not addressed since construction of such huge structure will increase the commercial activity which further eats in to the garden too since the land rates skyrocket in such area.

The Hussainsagar lake was originally about 5,000 acres and due to several constructions around it, the lake has already shrunk to less than 1,000 acres and the proposed skyscrapers will only further add to the air, ground and noise pollution, due to increase in traffic. Few voluntary organizations have already started preparation to approach courts in this issue.
